The browser crashes after pressing "download now" on something in the browser. I am using, Stock Android Browser in the latest 7.1.2 build. It could happen on any build. But, I only tested it on 7.1.2.

Is this on one of the UA builds here, or on one of my personal builds? The browser included in the latter is definitely not "stock". Can you attach a shot of the app you're using?

Make sure it has proper permissions, it needs storage permissions (you might need to set it manually)

UA, I don't use UA builds at the moment. I use CM and LineageOS.

We'll get rid of AOSP Browser soon for security reasons anyway. The FC might happen if permissions aren't set properly, make sure to enable "Storage" permissions (Settings -> Apps -> Browser -> Permissions -> enable "Storage" )
